Featured Member: Simon Daniel

Our very first Glasshouse featured member is Simon Daniel, CEO and founder of Moixa and Moixa Energy, who make the award eco-friendly USBCELL rechargeable batteries.

Simon has been attending Glasshouse events right from our early days as they ‘provide a broad cross-section and snapshot of the London entrepreneurial and venture scene, and differ over other groups in having good content and great speakers’ We couldn’t agree with you more!

Moixa is about rethinking axioms and inventing and pioneering new product categoriewhich recently included developing and licensing a 2m unit selling PDA keyboard.

With their continual focus on making technology, particularly portable technology, easier to use and more sustainable, they want to move away from using bulky AC/DC adapters for their products so have spun out Moixa Energy, as a dedicated venture to focus on better home and portable renewable energy.

The launch of the USBCELL battery line received an IF Gold Product Design Award – as a top 50 global Design - alongside major companies like Philips and Apple and was one of over 2750 global products/companies under consideration. They also won the UK National Energy Efficiency award, and New Energy Entrepreneur of the year.
